Let’s get closer to the need that gave rise to a great idea.
When you order online, do you ever calculate the odds of receiving the package at the right time? There is a great probability that you may not be home. So, the package goes unattended, returned or lost. The worst part is to make time out of your busy schedules and wait hours at the post office which may not be right next door. It’s a colossal gamble that makes online shopping yet another plain vanilla experience. What do you do next? Call a neighbor to receive your package? If yes, we have good news for you. Follow up.
On talking to Teenager startups, Gabriel mentioned that he had a distasteful experience in online shopping and knew many others who had faced these issues. He analyzed the complete situation scrupulously and landed on a whacking idea. Gabriel's 'Pickups' works wonders, and provides you with a trustworthy and independent platform to help connect with neighbors and ensure an easy delivery. All you need to do is click “Ship with Pickups”, and a plethora of convenient and available neighbors are displayed for you to choose from. A percentage of your billing total is charged along with a fixed fee of $2 and a few bucks are paid to the neighbors, to help grow the network for shoppers and also provide supplementary income, yet adding another dimension to the freelancer market jobs. This is undoubtedly a great idea to pioneer on-the-go e-commerce.
Gabriel told our media team that he came across many hurdles across the way. Having no background in computer science and building a bootstrapped software company seems like an insane idea but it is always possible to have the ball in your court by getting people to believe in and view the obstacles like stepping stones.
The company is in the process of raising a pre-seed round to scale up in the Brooklyn area of New York City and aims to hold a tremendous market share in the city.
When we asked Gabriel the mistakes he made as a new and not so experienced entrepreneur, he replied that the process and growth of the company excited him way too much. But he soon realized that focusing on the present can yield better outputs than dwelling on the aftermath. He also told us that it is often abstruse to stay motivated during all phases of this battle hard-won, but the vision to make an impact and a motive to deliver the best to the customers keeps him buckled up on this roller coaster ride. Gabriel derives motivation from the quote, “The ones that are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who actually do.”
This inspiring story of Gabriel is inspired by the great, Elon Musk who is the beau-idéal for Gabriel. He firmly believes that there is no goal bigger than improving the odds of survival of humanity.
Gabriel has a great word of advice for the budding entrepreneurs, “Think big in small ways. Think big in small ways. Stay focused on metrics, feedback, and as much data as possible. Become a student of the game and study every aspect of your industry. Try to have fun along the way. If it doesn't excite you, you won’t last.”
Gabriel’s keen notice on subjects of requirement and significance and his great gift to the world, helped him reach the cover of NY times and secured him a great recognition around the world. We along with everyone else applaud Gabriel for his achievements.
Obstacles were the launching point for Gabriel to propel. Delivering more than expected is what made his entrepreneurial plane kiss the skies.
Happy home delivery!!
